We WILL transition to alternative energy, But it WILL take decades. In the interim, without more hydrocarbons, world economies will grind to a halt, venture capital will dry up and WE WILL NEVER GET THERE! The hydrocarbon economies create the capital which is necessary to invest into the development of future energy sources!
