Unclear, however, is whether that estimate was paired with information contained in a ‘secret’ document leaked from the International Atomic Energy Agency that Iran has the ability to make a nuclear bomb and is developing a missile system to carry it.”

We knew this would happen:
We knew Obama would look only to the defense budget in order to offer a pretense of fiscal responsibility.
But, the non-partisan CBO knows that defense spending is NOT where the problem is located.
“Federal spending on programs other than Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security—including national defense and a wide variety of domestic programs—is likely to contribute far less, if anything, to the upward trend in federal outlays as a share of GDP”
It is obvious to any thinking person that we need dramatically LESS Federal Entitlements, NOT MORE!
But, don’t expect the MSM to educate your fellow Americans on that topic (or anything else of any relevance).
