Debunking Ice Melt Hysteria - Part II

Updated 2/10/12
Added a chart at the bottom of the post.

This is the second of two posts debunking ice melt hysteria.

The latest profit center in the world of so-called “journalism” (and Junk Science) is whipping up hysteria over the rate of melting of the Greenland ice sheet. It is NO coincidence that this media frenzy coincides with the push to impose climate change legislative tyranny on the American people.

Let’s ignore -- just like the media -- the fact that 89% of the world’s land ice is GROWING! Instead, let’s focus -- just like the media -- on the Greenland ice sheet.

Here are a few “inconvenient truths” about the Greenland ice sheet…

Potentially warm biased temperature measurements
show, circa 1930, generally warmer temperatures
AND a MUCH more rapid rise in temperature!

OBVIOUSLY, AGW has NOT done a heck of a lot of damage in the last 79 years!

Greenland ice melt was FAR more substantial 6,000 to 8,000 years ago!
This chart comes directly from the GISP2 ice core study web site.

a pronounced 10,000 cooling trend.

Appending (warm biased?) data from the last 100 years,
we find there is NOTHING unusual about the latest warming!
AND, we find the 10,000 year cooling trend STILL intact!

Kobayashi et al 2011 documents even higher
historical temperatures than the chart above this one.
