No Global Warming in Dallas for 31 years?

On August 11, 2011, Dallas fell two days shy of tying the 1980 record of 42 consecutive days over 100F.

So, can we now reasonably say there has been no warming (and no additional Urban Heat Island Effect) in Dallas in the last 31 years? Well, no, not based upon this one metric alone.

But, rest assured that -- had Dallas set a new record -- every global warming hysteria monger (especially that raving lunatic, Al Gore) would have shamelessly touted a new record as evidence that CO2 (at 0.04% of the atmosphere) will surely doom us all.
