Three Charts The WaPo Will Never Show You

Even when reporting on ClimateGate,
The WaPo cannot resist a little AGW advocacy.

Ergo, WaPo presents this chart:

First, we should note that the NOAA data cited by WaPo have been documented -- via peer reviewed science -- to have a warming bias.

Second, we should note that the FAR more accurate satellite data do not support the assertion that 2005 was the warmest on (instrumental) record.

But, even if we accept the demonstrably inaccurate surface temperature record, we still find that the latest warming is not even remotely unusual (see the next three charts).

If WaPo were competent and/or honest,
they would balance the above chart with these three:

Vostok, Antarctica - an ongoing 10,000 year cooling trend.
The latest warming is not even remotely unusual.
