Home Prices Hit New Post-Bubble Low

Home prices hit a new post-bubble low in October, 2011.

Prices in Las Vegas have -- from the peak -- lost 61.3% of their value.

Prices in Dallas have -- from the peak -- lost 8.8% of their value.

Washington D.C. is the ONLY city among the 20 cities studied by Case Shiller which has shown rising home prices over each of the last 3 years (the duration of the Obama administration). Anybody surprised?

RIP Christopher Hitchens - Abortion Survivor, Post-Abortive Father

For those who (wrongly) think only the religious right could possibly hold a pro-life position, think again.

Renowned liberal author and journalist Christopher Hitchens understood (if only partially) the realities of abortion. Hitchens was an avowed atheist. I am a lifelong agnostic. Hitchens was and I am informed on this matter solely by science (and a secular sense of morality).

Contrary to popular misconception, repealing Roe v Wade would ONLY serve to return to the duly elected individual state legislatures the Constitutionally guaranteed power to decide how best to deal with abortion. Roe v Wade was the single most egregious and utterly unconstitutional abuse of power ever perpetrated by the Supreme Court. The net result has been a level of feticide which -- quantitatively -- makes the Nazi Holocaust pale by comparison.

In May of 2002, NASA launched the AQUA satellite. The AMSU instrument, onboard the AQUA satellite, began collecting global temperature data in July of 2002. The chart below demonstrates the catastrophic amount of warming witnessed in the nine years this instrument has been collecting data.

Oh, wait…
The current global temperature is actually lower than it was when the satellite began collecting data.

Well…
Pay no attention to THAT minor detail! We know that CO2 is causing catastrophic warming (our computer models tell us so).

And…
We know that we MUST dole out $45 TRILLION dollars to hideously corrupt crony capitalists in order to save the planet.

So…
Science be damned! Get on board or DIE! NOW!

Yeah, maybe not…
Maybe the climate charlatans have cynically exploited the latest warming phase of the Atlantic Multi-decadal Oscillation in order the line their own pockets.

Obama's Epic Failure - November Jobs Edition

Quoting The Bureau of Labor Statistics:

“The unemployment rate fell by 0.4 percentage point to 8.6 percent in November [largely because 315,000 people stopped looking for work -- see Summary Table A], and nonfarm payroll employment rose by 120,000…

[So -- 120,000 found jobs and 315,000 stopped looking for jobs. If Obama can get a few million people to stop looking for work, he can drive that unemployment number WAY down.]

The civilian labor force participation rate declined by 0.2 percentage point to 64.0 percent. The employment-population ratio, at 58.5 percent, changed little.”

Job creation remains extremely sluggish.

A second Iranian nuclear facility has exploded

“Satellite imagery seen by The Times confirmed that a blast that rocked the city of Isfahan on Monday struck the uranium enrichment facility there…

Israeli intelligence officials told The Times that there was ‘no doubt’ that the blast struck the nuclear facilities at Isfahan and that it was ‘no accident’…

A former Israeli intelligence official cited at least two other explosions that have ‘successfully neutralised’ Iranian bases associated with the Shahab-3, the medium-range missile that could be adapted to carry a nuclear warhead.”
