Media Matters is a Bald Faced Liar (DUH!)

The Bald Faced LIE:

Click here and examine the latest “Progressive” LIE from Media Matters (claiming that Planned Parenthood in Waco, Texas provides mammograms).

Proof that MM LIED, straight from Planned Parenthood:

Waco has two PP facilities. The first offers ONLY "mammogram referrals". The second offers ONLY "mammogram referrals".

As a previous post PROVES (using PP's own web site), there are no PP facilities ANYWHERE in the entire country which offer anything other than "mammogram referrals".

This makes PP -- at BEST -- an utterly useless middleman skimming money off the top which could be more effectively and more efficiently applied by funding grants directly to the providers who actually provide the mammography. That is EXACLY what SGK hoped to do.

I realize it is hard for those shrill advocates for mass murder to admit, but the FACT is that, by bullying SGK into funding PP, abortion activists have demonstrably HARMED the interests of women (for the sake of their bloated sacred cow -- PP).

DISPICABLE!

Planned Parenthood does NOT provide mammograms!

The primary reason cited by Susan G. Komen’s CEO for redirecting their funding away from Planned Parenthood was to “directly fund mammograms” (because Planned Parenthood “only provide[s] mammogram referrals.”

According to the CDC, "Mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early". Hence, redirecting these grants would have more effectively and more efficiently served the needs of women. But, as always, the abortion activists were FAR more interested in making sure their bloated sacred cow (Planned Parenthood) remained VERY well fed.

Knowing that they have lobbied AGAINST the interests of women (and, bullied Komen into submission), abortion activists -- all across the internet -- are now desperately claiming that Planned Parenthood actually does provide mammograms. Previously, even Planned Parenthood’s President implied this was the case. But, in fact, this is a bald faced lie and PP’s own web site proves it.

Click here and find the means to locate EVERY PP facility in the entire nation. Once a given facility is located, click on it. Next (if it appears) click on “Women’s Health Care”. In EVERY case, if ANYTHING is listed related to mammography, the ONLY thing listed is “mammogram referrals”.

Doubt me? Let’s look at the two biggest hot beds of Leftist Lunacy -- New York City and San Francisco:

New York City has one PP facility. At that facility, they offer ONLY “mammogram referrals”.

Similarly, San Francicso has one PP facility. At that facility, they offer ONLY “mammogram referrals”.

Well, SURELY some PP facility in Washington D.C. offers mammograms, right? After all, tax payers provide 46% of PP funding! Yeah, sorry, not the case (here, there or ANYWHERE):

I challenge ANY PP advocate to find any PP location ANYWHERE in the ENTIRE country which provides mammograms. Here’s a clue -- THERE ARE NONE!

Planned Parenthood Dishonesty

It is said, there are lies, damn lies and statistics. Certainly, not all statistics fall beyond the realm of “damn lies”. But, when abortion activists are involved, you can bet your ass they always will.

In the wake of the (utterly counterproductive) typical Leftist thuggery perpetrated upon Susan G. Komen, MoveOn.org is eager to regurgitate the brazen dishonesty of Planned Parenthood’s claim that abortions represent only 3% of their “Total Services” provided.

Of course, Planned Parenthood can only concoct such an obvious distortion by counting every condom distributed as being equivalent to every abortion performed (that goes well beyond “damn lies”).

What would be more interesting is to see what portion of PP expenses goes to providing abortions. Strangely enough, PP declines to share that information. In that case, they just lump all their “Medical Services” into a single category (representing 68% of their annual expense).

This seems terribly lacking in “transparency” for an organization which -- by their own admission -- gets 46% of their funding from taxpayers.

Given those two numbers (68% vs. 46%) do you think there is any way in HELL that tax payer money does NOT go towards funding abortions? REALLY?

Another figure PP is not eager to share is the fact that in 2008 (the most recent data available), PP provided 27% of all abortions performed in the USA.

Has Susan G. Komen Bowed to Abortion Activists?

When Susan G. Komen announced they would no longer provide funding to the mass murderers at Planned Parenthood, their donations reportedly doubled.

Now, Susan G. Komen has apparently bowed to purely political pressure from abortion activists and seemingly reversed course. Well, actually, all they really said was they would allow Planned Parenthood to continue to apply for grants. I suppose whether Komen will actually fund those grants remains to be seen.

Komen had previously explained that they had decided to redirect their Planned Parenthood funding to those who actually provide mammogram services (Planned Parenthood does not). This would have provided women with better and more efficient breast cancer screening services.

We can only hope that Komen does the right thing and continues to focus exclusively on how best to address breast cancer concerns without pandering to the purely political abortion activists and their bloated sacred cow (Planned Parenthood).

RIP Christopher Hitchens - Abortion Survivor, Post-Abortive Father

For those who (wrongly) think only the religious right could possibly hold a pro-life position, think again.

Renowned liberal author and journalist Christopher Hitchens understood (if only partially) the realities of abortion. Hitchens was an avowed atheist. I am a lifelong agnostic. Hitchens was and I am informed on this matter solely by science (and a secular sense of morality).

Contrary to popular misconception, repealing Roe v Wade would ONLY serve to return to the duly elected individual state legislatures the Constitutionally guaranteed power to decide how best to deal with abortion. Roe v Wade was the single most egregious and utterly unconstitutional abuse of power ever perpetrated by the Supreme Court. The net result has been a level of feticide which -- quantitatively -- makes the Nazi Holocaust pale by comparison.

'Unwanted'

It is an undeniable scientific fact that life begins at conception.

The moment when life begins is -- by definition -- a transformational event. At the moment of conception, two haploid cells transform into a diploid cell and become a unique human being. Every moment after conception is a transitional event which varies in timing with each pregnancy. Every other attempt to define the moment when life begins is a purely political contrivance whose sole intent is to rationalize homicide.

I choose the word homicide carefully. Because, even with abortion, there are certain instances where there is such a thing as “justifiable homicide” -- for example when the mother’s life is clearly in danger.

Personally, I would (not easily) tend to say that rape is also grounds for the “justifiable homicide” of a child conceived during that rape. But, I would also have deep respect for any woman willing to let that child live.

Andrew Klavan on Abortion

Quoting the dissenting opinion of Justice White
in the 1973 case of Roe v. Wade:

“I find nothing in the language or history of the Constitution to support the Court's judgment. The Court simply fashions and announces a new constitutional right for pregnant mothers [410 U.S. 222] and, with scarcely any reason or authority for its action, invests that right with sufficient substance to override most existing state abortion statutes. The upshot is that the people and the legislatures of the 50 States are constitutionally dissentitled to weigh the relative importance of the continued existence and development of the fetus, on the one hand, against a spectrum of possible impacts on the mother, on the other hand.”

Roe v. Wade has NOTHING to do with abortion “rights” and EVERYTHING to do with STATES rights. If Roe v. Wade were overturned, that would MERELY return to the states the Constitutionally guaranteed RIGHT for their duly ELECTED legislators to decide this issue state by state. Listen! If the so-called “Progressives” had not been so damn effective in their propaganda campaign, the entire country would be screaming from the rooftops every single day about the mass murder of about 50 million of the very most innocent and the very most defenseless among us.

Far too many Americans defend this senseless slaughter as if it were representative of the very most fundamental of human rights.

In his book, Jonah Goldberg argues that the so-called “Liberal” abortion agenda is one of a great many parallels between American Liberalism and Nazi Fascism. Is he correct? Let’s examine the history and the present.

For the Nazis, abortion and forced sterilization were means to an end. That end was a purely racist form of negative Eugenics.

American “Liberalism” has, as a core “value”, what they like to call a “pro-choice” agenda. But, what are the roots of this agenda? What was the original intent? Is the intent and the outcome substantially different today?

Margaret Sanger created the institution which would become Planned Parenthood.

Margaret Sanger was an avowed Socialist. Nazi was an acronym for “National Socialist German Workers Party”.

Margaret Sanger was an overt, outspoken, rabid racist who openly advocated for (quoting my previous observation) “a purely racist form of negative Eugenics”.

Margaret Sanger favored forced sterilization as a means to her racist ends.

Margaret Sanger, who favored forced sterilization as a means of pursuing her rabidly racist eugenics agenda, was actually opposed to abortion (proving, I suppose, that she had some vestigial concept of morality). Sanger quoted herself in her 1938 autobiography to have said:

“abortion was the wrong way—no matter how early it was performed it was taking life”

Okay, it is historically and objectively undeniable that the original agenda of the individual who founded what would become Planned Parenthood was both deplorable and remarkably similar to the agenda of the Nazi Fascists. But, what about today?

FACT:
Black babies, today, are about 3 times more likely to be aborted than white babies.

Okay, facts are facts. But, are the above FACTS mere happenstance?

FACT:
Approximately 80% of Planned Parenthood clinics (where abortions are performed) are located in minority neighborhoods. Why? To “serve” minority communities? Or, to decimate them? ALL adherents of Eugenics earnestly believe they are doing both their targets and humanity at large a big favor by providing their Eugenic “service”.

Just watch these two videos and ask yourself what sort of “service” is provided by the “freedom of choice” movement:
