Proof that MM LIED, straight from Planned Parenthood:

Waco has two PP facilities. The first offers ONLY "mammogram referrals". The second offers ONLY "mammogram referrals".

As a previous post PROVES (using PP's own web site), there are no PP facilities ANYWHERE in the entire country which offer anything other than "mammogram referrals".

This makes PP -- at BEST -- an utterly useless middleman skimming money off the top which could be more effectively and more efficiently applied by funding grants directly to the providers who actually provide the mammography. That is EXACLY what SGK hoped to do.

I realize it is hard for those shrill advocates for mass murder to admit, but the FACT is that, by bullying SGK into funding PP, abortion activists have demonstrably HARMED the interests of women (for the sake of their bloated sacred cow -- PP).

The federal government reports that the peak rate of food stamp usage under President Bush was 31,624,844 (in 2008).

The federal government reports that -- in October, 2011 (the most recent data available), 46,224,722 people were receiving what used to be called food stamps (in 2008, it became known as SNAP).

The Far Left Huffington Post and other sources acknowledge that more people (by FAR) are on what used to be called food stamps than ever before.

NBC Pinheads - What is the internet?

In 1994, the internet had been around for the better part of four decades. From the consumer perspective, Wikipedia notes (with substantiation) that:

“By the mid-1980s CompuServe was one of the largest information and networking services companies in existence”

And yet -- as we see below -- in 1994 NBC Pinheads still did not have a clue what the internet was (or what the @ symbol was).

And, these are the buffoons who purport to keep the rest of us informed? Geez!

Local Journalist Displays Ethanol Ignorance

“Routt County’s uber guru of alternative fuels vehicles, Fred Robinson, reports from Henderson Park that he has come up with a mix of gasoline and E85 ethanol he said his lawn mowers run well on, thus reducing his carbon footprint every time he does yard chores.”

I expect so-called “journalists” to be ignorant. But, I expect them to at least be well versed in the reporting done by their peers. It would appear that Mr. Ross didn’t do his homework.

Newsweek reports that:

“When you tote up the carbon emissions caused by clearing land to grow corn, fertilizing it and transporting it, corn ethanol leaves twice the carbon footprint as gasoline.”

Time magazine admits:

“the biofuel boom is doing exactly the opposite of what its proponents intended”

Hell, even Al Gore has admitted he only backed Ethanol for the bribes it could bring him and that Ethanol is a giant failure which wasted immeasurable amounts of tax payer money. Both the Libertarians at Reason.com and the Green fanatics at Friends of the Earth agree it is time to end the utterly wasteful Ethanol subsidies.

IMO, Pickens (a man I have NO respect for) is simply looking to make his NEXT billion by sticking his hands into the wallets of American taxpayers. Pickens and all the rest of the “Peak Oil” charlatans can ONLY arrive at their hysteria mongering conclusions by ignoring the FACT that the USA has hydrocarbon resources probably amounting to at LEAST 6 to 7 times the proven reserves of Saudi Arabia!

Yes, the world is probably headed back to $100 per barrel of oil. The reason for that is simply because our moronic “Green” politicians will not ALLOW us to develop our own damn resources! We need to get government the HELL out of the way and let market forces work to develop our hydrocarbon resources as well as take us into the next era of power generation. Right now, government mandates and subsidies are nothing more than a MASSIVE criminal enterprise which ONLY serves to subsidize utterly counterproductive FAILURE and CORRUPTION!

I don’t expect anything to improve at NPR. My bet is that Weiss will be replaced by a Leftist ideologue at LEAST as strident as Weiss. If anything changes at NPR, it will only move farther to the Far Left. You can test my theory by listening to NPR to see if you EVER hear ANY viewpoint or ANY data supporting skepticism as relates to the theory of Catastrophic Man Made Global Warming. I listen to NPR regularly and I have NEVER ONCE heard even the slightest suggestion that there MIGHT be even a tiny little SHRED of merit to any skeptical view.

Now, NPR should be free to spew all the purely political propaganda they want to. But, NPR should NOT be allowed to force me -- at gunpoint -- to subsidize their brazen propaganda. Yet, tyrannically, they do.

Last Kodachrome roll processed in Parsons

Kodak honored Steve McCurry’s request to shoot the very last roll of Kodachrome film ever produced.

McCurry recently had that last roll processed at Dwayne's Photo Service in Parsons, Kansas. Dwayne's is the only photo lab in the world still processing Kodachrome. Their web site currently indicates:

“On December 30th we will process the last roll of Kodachrome slide film.”

I captured some brilliant images on Kodachrome. Barring some catastrophe, those framed photos will outlive me by a long shot (as will the original slides). But, I have already outlived the film those photos were captured on. And, so it goes. The end of an era. It was a good run.

No Subsidy for NPR

Tom Selleck’s 'Blue Bloods' - Fair & Balanced

Usually, I wind up tolerating Leftist propaganda for the sake of being entertained. It’s also useful as a means of keeping my finger on the pulse of how my fellow citizens are being indoctrinated. But, there are limits to what I will tolerate. When “Chase” took the propaganda two steps too far (two weeks in a row) I quit watching it.

In the case of “Blue Bloods”, it’s refreshing to see a show which takes on tough issues and presents both sides fairly. Erin -- the A.D.A. -- takes the ACLU angle and Danny -- the hard nosed cop -- is often her foil. Of course, when both sides are presented fairly, the Conservative side pretty much always wins. Now, if only the Lame Stream Media could learn from “Blue Bloods” how to do their jobs.

Never gonna happen!

The Uber-Liberal Fox News

Shepard Smith anchors the Fox News Channel flagship “straight news” segment. This is the one hour on FNC which should avoid editorializing at all costs. IMO, Sheppie Smith is not qualified for the job.

My impression of Shepard Smith as a card carrying Liberal was first cemented as I watched the 2004 Presidential election returns. The moment Fox News declared Bush the victor over Kerry, Shepard threw a raging on-air hissy fit (no, I’ve never been able to find a substantiating video clip -- so you’ll have to trust me on this one).

Well, Sheppie is at it again. I saw Rosen’s reaction to Sheppie’s outburst live on the air last night and thought to myself that I would probably see a video clip today. I did.
