2008 endorsement of Libertarian Ron Paul:
“I’m with him, because he seems to be the only candidate who actually believes [the Constitution] has as much relevance today as it did a couple of hundred years ago… I look forward to the day when we can work out the differences we have with the same revolutionary vision and enthusiasm that is our American legacy.”
The WSJ author also notes that “Guthrie’s endorsement of Paul doesn’t include any praise of the candidate’s stands against foreign entanglements generally and Iraq specifically.” So, apparently, it ain’t just an on-going anti-war thing.
(That aging hippie ain’t happy with Arlo Guthrie.)
