The University of Kentucky sponsored a contest intended to counter the negative stereotype through images showing the other side of Appalachian life. They found a winner.

Her photo took top prize in a contest sponsored by the University of Kentucky's Appalachian Center. It shows a high school senior from Marietta, Ohio, with her arms draped around the classical music instrument while perched on the hillside.
‘You could see a talented young individual,’ said Coleman, a professional photographer from Parkersburg, W.Va.
The West Virginia native said she tires of seeing old photos reinforcing stereotypes of Appalachia, and hopes she did her part to show there's a much different side to the 205,000-square-mile region.”

Here, we are told the answer is - YES!
(Personally, I thought that was obvious.)
It is also asserted that some methane in drinking water
results from fracking (and, that can be remedied).
I think fracking will reduce naturally occurring methane.

But, the science does not address these questions:
Did the contamination exist before the fracking?
What harm may (or may not) result?

Please! Tell me again who thinks it is a good idea to utterly waste $45 TRILLION in order to pretend we can micromanage climate change. On page 3 of a 4 page article, The New York Times reports that Obama waited “sixteen hours” to make up his mind as to whether to take out Bin Laden or not. That is 96 times longer than Bush lingered with those second graders. During much of that time, Obama was sleeping.

Tracts qualify as ‘low access’ if at least 500 persons or 33 percent of the population live more than a mile from a supermarket or large grocery store.”
Obama’s USDA has found yet ANOTHER way to utterly waste YOUR money. But, don’t think the waste ends there. After all, what possible use could this “tool” be to ANYBODY?

You watch! The feds will use this “tool” as an excuse for opening government run and/or government subsidized grocery stores. Like everything else run by government, these grocery stores will be overflowing with waste, fraud, abuse, inefficiency, surly union employees and -- of course -- the worst food in the entire country.
