We see all sorts of wildlife sharing our slopes. Bear sightings on the slopes are pretty common. Bear sightings in town are VERY common! Just ask our city attorney! With more people using bear resistant trash containers, we are (happily) seeing fewer bears in town. But, Moose sightings in town are becoming more common.

As predicted, Mother Nature is having the last laugh with those gathered in Washington D.C. today to protest Global Warming.

I captured a screenshot off the protest web site which describes how the loons are coping with the cold. I quote:

“People are bundled up in their warmest coats and staying active by chanting. I hear ‘Coal can never be clean.’ ”

Well, if these nut jobs have their way, these sorts of chants may become the only hope any of us have for staying warm in the near future. And, with Obama’s Socialist Climate Czar already taking enormously destructive measures, we had all better hope this chanting magic works.

Maybe Penn and Teller will use this protest to give us another fascinating insight into the unique “genius” of the environmental extremists.

First, note that coal is used to generate 44.5% of our electricity.

Yes, the EPA identifies SO2, NO2 and Particulate Matter as
coal related pollutants.

But, the following EPA chart shows that SO2, NO2 and PM
are FAR below the National Standards and are
DROPPING LIKE A ROCK!

About the WSJ Real Time Economics Blog

I include in my bloglist the Wall Street Journal “Real Time Economics” blog. I just renamed that bloglist entry to clearly indicate that this blog represents “The Leftist view”.

WHAT? The Wall Street Journal pedaling Leftist propaganda? Yep! You BETCHA!

The Leftist bias of everything but the opinion page of the WSJ has been quantified by academics at UCLA. In FACT, they found the WSJ to be MORE biased to the Left than the New York Times!

So, in a recent Real Time Economics blog entry, it comes as no surprise that the hosts of the forum would kneel before a notoriously Leftist Oracle, fail to note Buffett’s very well documented bias and refuse to publish my comment fully substantiating all of that.

The hosts of this blog routinely delete my comments for no apparent reason. My guess is that they simply prefer for the opposing view - especially when fully substantiated - not to be aired. I no longer even attempt to comment there as SBVOR. Doing so guarantees deletion of my comments. It now appears they no longer allow me to comment anonymously. I suppose they’ve blocked my IP address.

So, read them if you like. But, understand their bias and their apparent intolerance for opposing views! Do NOT be fooled by the WSJ name!

Climate Irony

On Monday, March 2, some of the most dangerously ignorant, naïve and gullible people on the planet will gather in Washington D.C. for what they self-describe as the “biggest climate civil disobedience in U.S. history.”

If the current forecast holds up, Mother Nature may have the last laugh. The current forecast suggests these idiots may be protesting Global Warming in as much as a foot of fresh snow with a 70% chance of more snow and a blustery north wind gusting to 33mph!
