“John P. Holdren, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, said ‘have a nice day’ and otherwise declined to comment on Tuesday when asked about a statement he made that worldwide redistribution of wealth is ‘absolutely essential’ in order to provide all human beings with a decent life.”
Holdren to reporter - Get off of my elevator:
Click here for Holdren’s theme song. These days, Dims can only run and hide. They darn sure can’t campaign on their record.
If you wonder why we import oil from the third world rather than develop our own vast hydrocarbon resources, look no further than the global redistribution of wealth agenda. That one policy item has resulted in the most massive global redistribution of wealth in the entire history of the world.

Good grief!
Is there ANYTHING these Federal pinheads will NOT regulate?
Actually, I find this new openness on the part of the Dims even MORE disconcerting than their decades long denials. It means that more Americans are more willing to embrace the Marxist nightmare.
Well, considering that our public school system is now little more than a network of Marxist indoctrination camps, we can’t really be surprised.
“Mazlan Othman, a Malaysian astrophysicist, is set to be tasked with co-ordinating humanity’s response if and when extraterrestrials make contact.
Aliens who landed on earth and asked: ‘Take me to your leader’ would be directed to Mrs Othman.
She will set out the details of her proposed new role at a Royal Society conference in Buckinghamshire next week.”

You see, it now appears Ms. Othman may not propose this role after all. But, had this nutty idea not received so much media coverage? Would a particularly useless bureaucrat have soaked the taxpayers? DUH!
The Dim propaganda machine has attempted to paint the Tea Party as being almost exclusively white.
Anybody with eyes to see has known from the jump that this (as always) was a bald faced lie manufactured by the Lame Stream Media.
But, now we have polling data which quantifies the extent of the lie.
The data indicate that 35% of blacks who are likely voters support the Tea Party. Considering the fact that 96% of blacks voted for Obama, that is -- not surprisingly -- quite a shift!
Dims lie! Duh!
P.S.) The SNL branch of the Dim propaganda machine has also launched a particularly crass attack on Christine O’Donnell. The SNL NYC pinheads have no idea just how badly their sophomoric stupidity will backfire. After all, SNL was a major factor in propelling Sarah Palin to her current level -- thank you, Tina Fey. Christine O’Donnell will surely be next. Thanks SNL - ya’ MORONS!
“The Iranian government agency that runs the country’s nuclear facilities, including those the West suspects are part of a weapons program, has reported that its engineers are trying to protect their facilities from a sophisticated computer worm that has infected industrial plants across Iran…
The New York Times reported in 2009 that President George W. Bush had authorized new efforts, including some that were experimental, to undermine electrical systems, computer systems and other networks that serve Iran’s nuclear program…
The program is among the most secret in the United States government, and it has been accelerated since President Obama took office”

1) This controversy stems from Buck having previously endorsed the proposed Colorado “Personhood Amendment” (an amendment which I fully support).
2) Regrettably, Buck has already backed away from support for that amendment. So, by running the ad, Bennet is willfully engaging in a bald faced lie!
3) In the Denver Post article, the deliberately deceptive phrase “birth control pills that can reduce the chances of implantation for a fertilized egg” refers ONLY to what is commonly known as “The Morning After Pill” (which, when the egg has already been fertilized, is nothing more than an abortion in pill form).
4) Notice the repeated use of the deliberately ambiguous phrase “commonly used”? Bennet is such a scumbag that he won’t even be honest about the FACT that each of these “commonly used” techniques involves the willful, knowing destruction of one or more human beings! Birth control does NOT require the willful destruction of a human life! And, the “common” birth control pill does NOT destroy human life! Try being HONEST Mr. Bennet! Not capable? Thought so!
5) Sorry, all you feminazis -- you are NOT allowed to play God -- at least you shouldn’t be! You do NOT have the right -- in the case of abortion on demand -- to knowingly and willfully murder your unborn children merely for the sake of convenience. And, you do NOT have the right -- in the case of fertility treatments -- to create multiple human lives and then destroy all but the one you wanted for the sake of your own narcissistic desires.
Michael Bennet -- SHAME ON YOU! You are a COWARD, a DECEIVER, a BALD FACED LIAR, a SCUMBAG and an advocate for infanticide! No wonder you are behind in the polls!

By FAR, the biggest mistake this country EVER made was adopting a Socialist paradigm for the delivery of publicly funded education. That mistake is at the very root of ALL the rest of the problems we face. It will be the death of us!
The director of this documentary also directed “An Inconvenient Truth” (perhaps the single biggest deception in all of human history). So, I have very serious doubts as to whether that same director even begins to understand the root of this problem, much less the solution.
All of human history tells us that the Socialist paradigm is a model which is ALWAYS destined for FAILURE! Throwing more money at a fundamentally flawed paradigm will never work! The ONLY hope for our schools is to demolish the government monopoly on the delivery of publicly funded education and introduce free market competition!
Wonder why nobody has yet destroyed the Iranian nuclear facilities?
Well, the Iranian facilities are less vulnerable to a conventional military strike.
But, the 21st century offers new opportunities to achieve old goals (see below).
Quoting Fox News:
“A destructive cyber worm designed to bring down industrial complexes has Iran's new nuclear power plant in its sights. And a nation such as Israel or China -- or even the United States -- could be behind it, experts say.”
By now, most in the know have heard the criticisms of Christine O’Donnell -- the Tea Party candidate who beat the odds to win the Republican nomination in the Delaware Senate race.
For the sake of argument, let’s assume her harshest critics have it right. For starters, let’s assume (rightly or wrongly) that she is not a mental genius. Well, only those who expect government to solve all their problems need geniuses to represent them. Actually, considering it is utterly impossible for government to solve all (or any) of their problems, what so-called “Progressives” are really looking for in their candidates is some fictional level of intelligence from some imaginary universe.
Come on! We have a Harvard graduate in the White House! So, how’s that hopey changey thing working for you so far?
We do NOT need intellectual giants OR over achievers representing us in the Senate! The ONLY quality we need to be looking for is somebody who will vote to limit the role of government. PERIOD! ANYBODY who comes to the Senate with that as a priority can EASILY achieve that goal! Christine O’Donnell will do just that.
This post will highlight a strong argument in favor of repealing the Seventeenth Amendment -- or, perhaps more accurately, why it should have never been ratified in the first place.
I’m not yet certain where I stand on this issue. But, my gut instinct is to trust the Founding Fathers over the so-called “Progressives” of the Woodrow Wilson era and their “modern” counterparts.
It would appear that the Seventeenth Amendment has brought about exactly what the Founding Fathers sought to prevent!
Quoting Ross Kaminsky at The American Spectator (I inserted the links):
“The 17th Amendment is a direct attack on federalism and one of the greatest transfers of power from the states to the federal government, and particularly to Democrat senators, in our nation's history….
Following the passage of the 17th Amendment, ‘… the state governments have more and more been downgraded from independent policy-making bodies to mere instrumentalities of the federal government’…
the sad history of the past several decades in which the federal government peddled its opiate of ‘block grants’ and ‘highway funds’ other ‘free’ money to the now-addicted states is something that will require a rather potent budget-methadone treatment that many citizens -- and most politicians -- might not be able to handle…
When the Constitution becomes a topic for public debate, it forces Democrats and Progressives to explain why they routinely ignore, dismiss, or attack the Constitution with their ultra-expensive Nanny State policies…
when our Constitution takes center stage in political discussion, particularly when it can be shown that we ignore it at our own peril, America takes a baby step toward relearning the value of our Founding documents and principles.”
Please, Please, PLEASE click the image & read the rest:
3) The current method for electing United States Senators was adopted with the 1913 ratification of the Seventeenth Amendment -- during the Presidency of Woodrow Wilson (a so-called “Progressive”) who, like all so-called “Progressives”, really truly had a complete disdain for the United States Constitution.
How’s THAT for irony? Watch that Dim attack ad again!
4) The Seventeenth Amendment was a creation of so-called “Progressive reformers”. Is it any wonder that today’s so-called “Progressives” treat the Seventeenth Amendment as though it was sacrosanct and beyond debate?
Remember, the very next amendment created by so-called “Progressive reformers” was the Eighteenth Amendment (Prohibition, ratified in 1919). Was it blasphemy to repeal that amendment?
5) One could easily argue the merits of the original Constitution vs. what we now have under the Seventeenth Amendment. In fact, there is just such a discussion in the associated Wikipedia article (which, predictably, sides with the so-called “Progressives”).
6) What is unquestionable is that the Seventeenth Amendment took us a large step closer to the European Social Democracy disaster now at or near the brink of collapse all over Europe. It also took us one giant step further away from the original Constitutional Republic envisioned by our quite brilliant founding fathers.
Conclusions: I’m not arguing for or against the repeal of the Seventeenth Amendment. There are reasonable arguments both ways. I AM arguing that all Americans should study the issue rather than blindly reacting to appeals to ignorance from the Dims at the DSCC.
I am also arguing that we desperately need to replace Obama’s yes man (Senator Michael Bennet) with the FAR more responsible, FAR more reasonable and FAR more thoughtful Ken Buck!
I am also imploring all thoughtful, educated voters all across America to refuse to take the utterly dishonest attack ads of the desperate Dims at face value. The Dims cannot run on their “achievements”. They know damn well that the majority of Americans HATE virtually EVERYTHING this Congress has done. The Dims can ONLY attempt to FALSELY label their Conservative opponents as “too extreme” and hope that American voters are ignorant enough to fall for their lies and deceptions. DON’T!
Click here for directly related commentary (including a powerful argument for repeal).
Quoting professor Ronald J. Pestritto at The Opinion Journal (I inserted the links):
“Whatever I or anyone else thinks about Mr. Beck's programming or political views, on one central historical issue he is correct: The progressive movement did indeed repudiate the principles of individual liberty and limited government that were the basis of the American republic….
Wilson consistently advocated the adoption of a more English-style government, where there is no written fundamental law to serve as a check on the authority of the national legislature…
at a time when there is a serious debate about first principles—and when significant elements of the public appear receptive to criticisms of our march toward European-style social democracy—the meaning of progressivism, past and present, is surely relevant.
Today, a congressman such as Pete Stark can simply boast that the federal government ‘can do most anything in this country.’ And Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi won't even consider the constitutionality of a government takeover of health care a ‘serious question.’ Given this state of affairs, it does not seem unreasonable to reflect on the origins of the disdain for the Constitution in the Progressive Era.”

“Virginia is asserting that certain portions (that is, the personal mandate) of ObamaCare are unconstitutional. If Virginia prevails, it leaves the question of what happens to the rest of the ObamaCare statute. This is where the concept of severance comes in. Normally, all comprehensive laws contain a boilerplate severance clause: it says that if any portion of the law is found to be unconstitutional, that portion is severed from the rest of the law -- that is, the rest of the law stands.
But ObamaCare contains no severance clause. Virginia is asserting that if it prevails on its substantive claims, the whole law is unconstitutional. (If Virginia does not prevail, any one of the twenty-plus legal challenges have the same severance argument available.)”

What? Does Ronald McDonald hold people down and force feed them Big Macs all day long for years on end? Is THAT how the boorish, stupid, and willfully ignorant Michael Moore became such a ton of lard?
Geez! I feel like I need to take a shower just for having mentioned the name of this Michael Moore buffoon -- much less giving him the publicity he so obviously craves.

“ ‘Environmentalism is in fact a perfect 21st century remapping of traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs and myths.’
So said… the late author Michael Crichton…
Dyson wrote, ‘Environmentalism has replaced socialism as the leading secular religion.’ No wonder: environmentalism has much more potential to achieve a rigid regulation of people's lives than political socialism. After all, the fate of the entire planet is at stake! So environmentalism uses scientific language to mask its neo-Leninism, the desire to control most aspects of the way people live. From there, environmentalism has only a short step to Leninism's successor: Stalinism, the desire to control every aspect of the way we live.”

Associated Press calculated that replacing inefficient clunkers with new cars getting higher mileage would reduce CO2 emissions by around 700,000 tons a year — less than Americans emit in a single hour. “Private-sector employment decreased by 10,000 from July to August on a seasonally adjusted basis”
Which report do YOU believe?
Either way, the BLS reports that the unemployment rate increased from 9.5% in July to 9.6% in August -- WAY above the roughly 7.2% Obama promised for this time frame if Congress passed his so-called “Stimulus Package” (before even ONE of them read the damn thing).

The deficit spending we see today began in 1965 when LBJ signed Medicare and Medicaid into law. The general trend since then is more and more deficit spending driven almost entirely by entitlement spending. If you don’t understand this, then you need to carefully examine each of the links below the video.
What these authors discuss is the absolute bare minimum of what will be necessary to even begin to think about getting this country back onto a sustainable path.
Immediately ending all government entitlement programs would be the best thing that could possibly happen.
Leftists, of course, view that notion as the worst heresy imaginable. And, they demonize anybody who even hints at slowing the expansion of this monster even a little bit.
But, the simple truth is that unless we attack that monster it WILL kill us all -- it’s dirt simple math. As this post documents, everybody from the non-partisan CBO to the extremely Leftist Washington Post KNOWS this is true.
Update #2 (6/24/11): The original manifesto page has been taken down (probably quite some time ago).
Update #1: The (now deceased) perp is identified as James J. Lee. MSNBC reports that Lee “experienced an ‘awakening’ when he watched former Vice President Al Gore’s environmental documentary ‘An Inconvenient Truth.’ ”
Normally, this is not a news event covered on this blog.
But, we also have speculation (now seemingly confirmed) that this manifesto (now removed from the net) was written by the hostage taker. Expecting that page would disappear, I reproduced it here.
That manifesto falls within the scope of this blog. It is a particularly extreme and nutty example of the nature worshipping religious cult whose mainstream represents the most dangerous and destructive religious cult ever.
Most of the manifesto focuses on pollution and population in general. Demand #6 mentions Global Warming and oil. In that regard:
Was the author of the manifesto mentally ill? Or, was he merely particularly well indoctrinated into the nature worshiping religious cult? Both? You decide.
