“NASA’s temperature data is worse than the Climategate temperature data. According to NASA…
Joseph D’Aleo and Anthony Watts have found NCDC completely incredible, having made a practice out of not including cooler temperature stations over time, exaggerating the warming illusion.
Three out of the four temperature datasets stink, with corroboration from the alarmists. Second-sourced, no less.
Anyone know if Japan [the location of only remaining alarmist dataset] has a FOIA?”

Several people have run the data sets Watts and D'Aleo accuse, and have found that there is no bias from the data sets used by NASA, at least no bias for warming. Some of the runs de-emphasized warming.
You can see a discussion, including Watts, here; you can get a handle on some of the actual replication of the runs of data here and in surrounding posts at that blog.
Ed,
I promise I will examine your evidence. But, right now I have to run. Meantime, would you care to comment on this paper (on this post or that one)?
Ed,
You indicate your first interest is “good government”.
Isn’t that an oxymoron? Isn’t government -- at best -- a necessary evil to be contained as much as is practicable?
Or, do you favor the “Progressive” view of government oppression as the means to human salvation?
