I love Glenn Beck. He may be our best hope for saving our Republic. But, Beck indulges himself in this bogus exercise in moral equivalence on at least two major fronts:

1) Beck presumes (absent any evidence) that there are racists on both sides. That is possible, maybe even likely. But, absent any evidence to prove the case, it is irresponsible to announce it is so. It is all the MORE irresponsible given the overwhelming evidence of reverse racism on the Left. Hell! The entire doctrine of the Left is PREDICATED on racism (and countless other examples of class warfare rooted in Cultural Marxism).

2) Beck repeatedly presumes (without offering any quantitative proof) that both major political parties are equally irresponsible with tax payer money. That is demonstrably and quantitatively FALSE! Sure, neither party is acceptable. But the Dims are FAR less acceptable!

2) American voters by a 39 - 36 percent margin would vote for an unnamed Republican rather than President Obama in 2012.

3) Independent voters disapprove of Obama 52 - 38 percent.

4) Only 40 percent believe Obama deserves reelection in 2012. There is NO age OR income bracket where a majority believes Obama deserves relection.

Why has this USDA racist not been fired?

Update #4: It appears that in updates 2 & 3 I gave Sherrod too much (faint) credit (by suggesting she converted from Cultural Marxism to Classical Marxism). Although she MAY have done so in her “professional” life, she clearly has not done so when making shamelessly false and defamatory comments about that great enemy of the Socialist peoples -- Fox News.

First we have the White House imagining they have some crystal ball capable of predicting what Glenn Beck will or will not comment on (and when and how). Then, we have the inconvenient truth that Fox made NO COMMENT about Sherrod until AFTER she was forced to resign. ONLY Bill O’Reilly called for her resignation -- HOURS AFTER she had already resigned!

Note: In my original post (below) I never called for her to be fired. I merely asked for an explanation why she should not be fired. Did I get one? That’s debatable -- see update #3.

Update #3: Should Sherrod have been forced to resign? Like most, my initial impression was that Sherrod discriminated by race in her current USDA job. But, Sherrod claims she was describing a 1986 incident at a previous job. Is that, alone, enough for a reasonable person to demand her resignation? It depends. Personally, I believe every employer has every right to fire anybody for any reason or no reason at all. Nobody has a “right” to a job. That’s just one more bogus entitlement invented by Socialists. So, if her employer felt embarrassed by her very public confession of having consciously discriminated by race in the performance of her job; then I would say a reasonable person would be justified in wanting to eliminate that embarrassment -- even if the incident took place decades ago while employed elsewhere.

There is also the question of a double standard. If a white male admitted to having discriminated against a black female in similar manner, he would have been fired on the spot -- not four months after the public confession (as was the case with Sherrod).

Then, there is the question of whether Sherrod’s conversion from race based Cultural Marxism to the economic based Classical Marxism (see Update #2) makes her somehow more fit to work for the federal government. Since most federal government employees are one or the other, that’s pretty much a moot question (except, of course, when it comes to the question of why we desperately need to dramatically reduce the scope and scale of government at every level).

Update #2: Now, Sherrod claims her remarks were taken out of context and that she was promoting racial unity. Ultimately, Sherrod is claiming that she converted from a race based Cultural Marxism to the economic based Classical Marxism. In her own words, she now says “it’s about poor verses those who have”. But, not even the USDA believes that conversion cleanses her overtly racist past. After all, in attempting to demonstrate her concept of racial tolerance, Ms. Sherrod spoke of showing compassion for her “white farmer” by referring him to one of “his own kind” (a “white lawyer”). Even if Sherrod now renounces race based Cultural Marxism in favor of Economic Marxism, she’s still a despicable Marxist.

Update: Sherrod has resigned. Will her next job be an Obama cabinet position? Maybe personal assistant to Rev. Wright? A leadership position in the NAACP? PR person for the New Black Panthers? Stay tuned! Just like ACORN, Sherrod is not going away, she will resurface and she will probably have even more power to abuse and even more tax payer money to waste.

1) Even the world’s foremost alarmist admits that there has been no statistically significant global warming in the last 15 years (and, peer reviewed science shows that the data which demonstrate that contain “an estimated warm bias of about 30%”).

2) Peer reviewed science demonstrates that there is nothing even remotely unusual about the latest (now stalled for 15 years) warming trend. In fact, the ONLY thing which makes the current interglacial warming period even remotely unusual is that we have yet to match -- much less exceed -- temperatures produced by ANY of the previous FOUR interglacial warming periods. Not only that, but the closest we came to matching the temperatures of ANY of the previous FOUR interglacial warming periods was about 8,000 years ago during what is known as the Hypsithermal. Furthermore, as the previous link documents, we are in the middle of an on-going, uninterrupted 10,000 year cooling trend which the latest warming has NOT reversed!

Meantime, at the moment, Arctic sea ice extent is at an interesting juncture.

April saw a nine year high and June (paradoxically) saw a nine year low.

The “interesting juncture” is evident in this graph. We have a near intersection of 2010, 2006 and 2007 data. The minima for sea ice extent was considerably different for 2006 and 2007. The question is whether the 2010 minima will more close resemble 2006 or 2007. Given the current trajectory, I’m betting 2010 will more closely resemble 2006. Time will tell.

Officials mobilized 10,000 National Guard troops for Obama’s inauguration.

Yet, Obama thinks “up to 1,200 National Guard troops” is the correct number required to secure the ENTIRE SOUTHERN BORDER!

And -- 30,000 additional troops will suffice in Afghanistan?

It’s official! Chairman Zero is completely insane!

Actually, what is required is to:

1) Reduce the incentive to immigrate illegally -- the Arizona law does just that.

2) Make it easier for more people to immigrate legally -- corrupt and moronic union leaders will, to the detriment of their own constituents, never allow that.

3) End the utterly failed war on drugs and decriminalize all narcotics -- entrenched government bureaucracies will never allow that.

The net impact of the war on drugs has been to (increasingly and exponentially) enrich and empower extremely violent drug gangs and drug cartels while expanding and enriching government bureaucracies which have failed and always will fail to stem the flow of narcotics demanded by our own domestic scumbag addicts.

So, even if the political class will never allow us to make progress on points 2 and 3, the various states can at least make some progress on point number 1.

Arizona is a good start and many states are lining up to do the very same thing!

As the Supreme Court has now twice affirmed, the second amendment and the right it confers to “the people” is no exception.
