The Bald Faced LIE:
Click here and examine the latest “Progressive” LIE from Media Matters (claiming that Planned Parenthood in Waco, Texas provides mammograms).
Proof that MM LIED, straight from Planned Parenthood:
Waco has two PP facilities. The first offers ONLY "mammogram referrals". The second offers ONLY "mammogram referrals".
As a previous post PROVES (using PP's own web site), there are no PP facilities ANYWHERE in the entire country which offer anything other than "mammogram referrals".
This makes PP -- at BEST -- an utterly useless middleman skimming money off the top which could be more effectively and more efficiently applied by funding grants directly to the providers who actually provide the mammography. That is EXACLY what SGK hoped to do.
I realize it is hard for those shrill advocates for mass murder to admit, but the FACT is that, by bullying SGK into funding PP, abortion activists have demonstrably HARMED the interests of women (for the sake of their bloated sacred cow -- PP).
DISPICABLE!

NPR's Nina Totenberg is a Bald Faced Liar
No lie is too big or too small if it helps to sell their snake oil.
And, they wonder why we have contempt for so-called “journalists”.
The so-called “profession” of so-called “journalism” has DESTROYED the USA.
Quoting NPR’s Nina Totenberg:
“there were more people on food stamps under George W. Bush”
The federal government reports that the peak rate of food stamp usage under President Bush was 31,624,844 (in 2008).
The federal government reports that -- in October, 2011 (the most recent data available), 46,224,722 people were receiving what used to be called food stamps (in 2008, it became known as SNAP).
The Far Left Huffington Post and other sources acknowledge that more people (by FAR) are on what used to be called food stamps than ever before.

George Stephanopoulos is a despicable propagandist
Unless he is phenomenally ignorant, George Stephanopolus knows damn well each state has (under the tenth Amendment) the theoretical power -- IF they chose to -- to ban contraceptives. He also knows that there (quite properly) isn’t a politician ANYWHERE in the country who would EVER vote to do so.
This despicable little bitch (Stephanopolus) KNOWINGLY formulated a question which -- if answered honestly -- would be dishonestly used by EVERY Dim from now to eternity to slander anybody foolish enough to fall into his slimy little trap.
Stephanopolus should be immediately FIRED for a GROSS violation of journalistic ethics (if there is such a thing anymore).

When Pigs Fly!
at NewsBusters:
“New NPR President Gary Knell made an appearance on their afternoon talk show Talk of the Nation on Friday (his first day) to give the appearance of transparency and responsiveness and to build morale after scandals such as the Juan Williams firing and the deeply embarrassing Muslim Brotherhood sting video, which led to several firings.
Knell just strained credulity beyond the breaking point by claiming NPR is not an advocacy organization, but a network of ‘fairness and accuracy and honesty’”

STOP robbing tax payers to fund this purely political advocacy!

The purely political advocacy demonstrated daily by NPR is never more evident than when they “report” on climate change. NBC Pinheads - What is the internet?
In 1994, the internet had been around for the better part of four decades. From the consumer perspective, Wikipedia notes (with substantiation) that:

And, these are the buffoons who purport to keep the rest of us informed? Geez!
“The video has already become an internet hit after it was posted last week.
In hilarious 1994 footage of NBC's Today Show, the now-[in]famous American television [so-called] journalist Katie Couric asks her fellow co-hosts how the internet works.

Local Journalist Displays Ethanol Ignorance
(emphasis mine):
“Routt County’s uber guru of alternative fuels vehicles, Fred Robinson, reports from Henderson Park that he has come up with a mix of gasoline and E85 ethanol he said his lawn mowers run well on, thus reducing his carbon footprint every time he does yard chores.”

I expect so-called “journalists” to be ignorant. But, I expect them to at least be well versed in the reporting done by their peers. It would appear that Mr. Ross didn’t do his homework.
Newsweek reports that:
“When you tote up the carbon emissions caused by clearing land to grow corn, fertilizing it and transporting it, corn ethanol leaves twice the carbon footprint as gasoline.”Time magazine admits:
“the biofuel boom is doing exactly the opposite of what its proponents intended”Hell, even Al Gore has admitted he only backed Ethanol for the bribes it could bring him and that Ethanol is a giant failure which wasted immeasurable amounts of tax payer money. Both the Libertarians at Reason.com and the Green fanatics at Friends of the Earth agree it is time to end the utterly wasteful Ethanol subsidies.
Click here for more on the Ethanol Debacle.
Mr. Ross blathers on about Peak Oil and gives a nod to the miserably dishonest T. Boone Pickens. IMO, Pickens (a man I have NO respect for) is simply looking to make his NEXT billion by sticking his hands into the wallets of American taxpayers. Pickens and all the rest of the “Peak Oil” charlatans can ONLY arrive at their hysteria mongering conclusions by ignoring the FACT that the USA has hydrocarbon resources probably amounting to at LEAST 6 to 7 times the proven reserves of Saudi Arabia!
Yes, the world is probably headed back to $100 per barrel of oil. The reason for that is simply because our moronic “Green” politicians will not ALLOW us to develop our own damn resources! We need to get government the HELL out of the way and let market forces work to develop our hydrocarbon resources as well as take us into the next era of power generation. Right now, government mandates and subsidies are nothing more than a MASSIVE criminal enterprise which ONLY serves to subsidize utterly counterproductive FAILURE and CORRUPTION!
Come on Tom! Do your freaking home work! I’m sick and tired of doing it FOR YOU!

Juan Williams reacts to resignation of NPR tyrant
NPR insiders reflexively blame Fox News.
Vivian Schiller lost her holiday bonus.
Ellen Weiss (who summarily fired Juan) resigned.
Juan Williams reacts
(correctly comparing NPR to Pravda):
I don’t expect anything to improve at NPR. My bet is that Weiss will be replaced by a Leftist ideologue at LEAST as strident as Weiss. If anything changes at NPR, it will only move farther to the Far Left. You can test my theory by listening to NPR to see if you EVER hear ANY viewpoint or ANY data supporting skepticism as relates to the theory of Catastrophic Man Made Global Warming. I listen to NPR regularly and I have NEVER ONCE heard even the slightest suggestion that there MIGHT be even a tiny little SHRED of merit to any skeptical view.

The Net Neutrality Coup
at The WSJ Opinion Journal:
“The Federal Communications Commission's new ‘net neutrality’ rules, passed on a partisan 3-2 vote yesterday, represent a huge win for a slick lobbying campaign run by liberal activist groups and foundations. The losers are likely to be consumers who will see innovation and investment chilled by regulations that treat the Internet like a public utility.
There's little evidence the public is demanding these rules, which purport to stop the non-problem of phone and cable companies blocking access to websites and interfering with Internet traffic. Over 300 House and Senate members have signed a letter opposing FCC Internet regulation, and there will undoubtedly be even less support in the next Congress.
Yet President Obama, long an ardent backer of net neutrality, is ignoring both Congress and adverse court rulings, especially by a federal appeals court in April that the agency doesn't have the power to enforce net neutrality. He is seeking to impose his will on the Internet through the executive branch.”

No Subsidy for NPR
at The Boston Globe:
“A BILL pulling the plug on federal funding for National Public Radio was thwarted last week when the lame-duck Democratic majority in the US House of Representatives voted down a Republican effort to bring the measure to the floor. Introduced last summer by Colorado Republican Doug Lamborn, the legislation would bar NPR and its local affiliates from spending federal dollars on NPR programming. Of course there was never any chance that a bill targeting one of the nation’s most prominent left-of-center institutions would pass while Democrats still controlled the House. But a GOP majority is taking over in January, and ending NPR’s taxpayer subsidies ought to be high on its to-do list…
[In response, NPR] issued a statement so pompous and illogical that it could have been drafted in Orwell’s Ministry of Truth.
‘Today, good judgment prevailed as Congress rejected a move to assert government control over the content of news,’ it declared.”

Isn’t “pompous and illogical” NPRs standard fare?

Tom Selleck’s 'Blue Bloods' - Fair & Balanced
at David Horowitz’s News Real Blog
(emphasis mine):
“The television season’s best surprise is easily Blue Bloods starring Tom Selleck as the New York City Police Commissioner, and the head of a multi-generational family of cops. What looked in trailers to be a clunky cop drama is both a surprisingly original take on the genre and a provocative look at some hot-button issues…
In a mere 7 episodes, Blue Bloods has taken on enhanced interrogation, profiling, vigilantism, and restrictions on the kinds of force a cop can use to protect his life. And while both sides of the issue are presented fairly, this is a show from a cop point of view, starring one of Hollywood’s most prominent conservatives…
Blue Bloods can’t live forever on issue-oriented shows, (and I really hope it doesn’t become dominated by the conspiratorial back story it introduced in the pilot) but it has shown it can handle a standard crime plot, a good sign. And with its engaging cast and the smart people running things, I’d say this has the potential to be classic television.”

Usually, I wind up tolerating Leftist propaganda for the sake of being entertained. It’s also useful as a means of keeping my finger on the pulse of how my fellow citizens are being indoctrinated. But, there are limits to what I will tolerate. When “Chase” took the propaganda two steps too far (two weeks in a row) I quit watching it.
In the case of “Blue Bloods”, it’s refreshing to see a show which takes on tough issues and presents both sides fairly. Erin -- the A.D.A. -- takes the ACLU angle and Danny -- the hard nosed cop -- is often her foil. Of course, when both sides are presented fairly, the Conservative side pretty much always wins. Now, if only the Lame Stream Media could learn from “Blue Bloods” how to do their jobs.
Never gonna happen!

The Uber-Liberal Fox News
Shepard Smith anchors the Fox News Channel flagship “straight news” segment. This is the one hour on FNC which should avoid editorializing at all costs. IMO, Sheppie Smith is not qualified for the job.
My impression of Shepard Smith as a card carrying Liberal was first cemented as I watched the 2004 Presidential election returns. The moment Fox News declared Bush the victor over Kerry, Shepard threw a raging on-air hissy fit (no, I’ve never been able to find a substantiating video clip -- so you’ll have to trust me on this one).
Well, Sheppie is at it again. I saw Rosen’s reaction to Sheppie’s outburst live on the air last night and thought to myself that I would probably see a video clip today. I did.

SNL Lowers Election Expectations
A proper election bloodbath would result in
landslide defeats of every Dim across the country.
That ain’t likely to happen -- but, it should.
A side note on the sorry state of pop music…
SNL’s “musical” guest was Rihanna. I had never seen her nor heard her before and I hope to never see her again. At first, I thought NBC had been hijacked by The Stripper Channel. But, that’s usually the case with pop “music” these days. All the cues were there -- the bad tattoos (are there any good ones?), the sleazy costume, the crotch shots, the bump and grind and even the gratuitous double handed boob grab in the middle of the “song”.
But, more than anything, the biggest disappointment was the utter lack of any apparent talent on the part of anybody on the stage. Okay, the utter lack of any talent which might be appreciated outside of any cheap strip club.
Sigh…

The NPR Shell Game With Tax Payer Money
NPR is still reeling in the aftermath of their utterly unjustified and totally hypocritical firing of Juan Williams. Senator Jim DeMint has promised to introduce legislation calling for an end to taxpayer funding of NPR. Predictably, NPR is not entirely honest in admitting their taxpayer funding.
NPR CEO Vivian Schiller
dancing around taxpayer funding:
Click here to exhaustively expose the shell game NPR plays in what could be described as a money laundering scheme involving CPB.
Technical Note: The above embedded video clip is the same clip presented in the above link. In the above link, the embedded video clip may not function properly (might not start). To get around this, right click over the video, then click on “Play/Pause”.
describing the NPR shell game:
First, note that CPB is entirely funded by money stolen from the taxpayers.
Money stolen from taxpayers flows to CPB, then to the NPR affiliate stations and then to NPR. Over the last 5 years, 40% of NPR revenues came from “Station Programming Fees” provided by their affiliate stations. Now, let’s examine where these affiliate stations get their money.
Click the image to view the source:

These are the sources of the 30.7% of NPR radio station funds stolen from taxpayers in fiscal year 2009:
1) 5.8% directly from federal, state, and local governments.
2) 10.6% from CPB (which gets all it’s funding from taxpayers)
3) 14.3% from Universities - These are universities which host NPR member stations and pay a licensing fee to NPR. You can bet your life that these are all state universities and that the funding for their NPR radio stations comes exclusively from the taxpayers.
That brings us to 30.7% of NPR radio station funding stolen from taxpayers. Of course, one can only wonder what portion of the 6.6% listed as “Other” was also stolen from taxpayers.

Head Stomped Activist Deliberately Provoked Security Concerns
(Emphasis mine & I inserted the link):
“Let us begin with what should be obvious and unnecessary to discuss: don’t stomp on anyone’s head. There are no mitigating circumstances to be presented in this article or video. You don’t stomp on a person’s head. Tim Profitt was wrong and should not have resorted to violence…
As you can see in the video, Valle reached in the candidate’s window with her ‘RepubliCorp’ sign and shoved it in his face. Several supporters in Paul shirts have her surrounded at that point, and a man in a suit is the first person to actually intervene physically. It’s hard to tell from the video, but it could be that the man in the suit was with Paul’s security staff.
Toward the end of the video, you see several Paul supporters asking a police officer to come intervene. It was Paul supporters who told Profitt to back off. It was Paul supporters who brought the police. Contrary to the growing narrative on the left, this video clearly shows that Valle was not the victim of a conspiracy to ‘take her out.’ ”
Update: At 0:54 in the embedded video we can, contrary to one of the assertions in the original RedState article, see the activist (Lauren Valle) -- still wearing her blond wig -- run in front of the vehicle. Contrary to Valle’s assertions, we cannot see anyone chasing her. What is clear is that -- after her first assault was thwarted -- she is now rushing Rand Paul from behind in a vigorous effort to mount a second attempted assault. It appears as though she was intercepted at the door of the vehicle. Presumably, that is when she was more forcefully taken down and the police were summoned.

NPR Listeners - Just as intolerant as NPR management?
Personally, based upon the almost uniform outrage I have witnessed from devoted NPR listeners in response to the utterly unjustifiable firing of Juan Williams, I suspect the alleged intolerance of the NPR audience is more a figment of the NPR management’s imagination. That said, here are some insights into that very disturbing imagination:
Among the many phony excuses offered by NPR Ombudsman Alicia Shepard, this one stands out as an insight into her perception of the intolerance of NPR listeners:
There is no evidence that any significant portion of the Fox News audience had any problems with Juan’s dual role at NPR. Or, (lacking any evidence to this effect) even if there was any significant objection, the management of Fox News -- unlike the management of NPR -- had the courage to stand up for the principle of Free Speech and open debate.
Also “interesting” is the following blatant contradiction (typical of the ever vacuous Ms. Shepard) between what she said yesterday vs. what she said in February of 2009.
Yesterday, trying to rationalize the firing of Juan Williams, Shepard said (emphasis mine):

on this national disgrace.
Among the many phony excuses offered by NPR Ombudsman Alicia Shepard, this one stands out as an insight into her perception of the intolerance of NPR listeners:
“In 2008, I received 378 emails complaining about remarks Williams made on Fox – but I heard very little about his comments on NPR. My February 2009 blog post on the Stokely Carmichael incident drew 216 comments – many asking why NPR put up with Williams' dual role.First, I know the NPR audience is tiny; but, unless they had less than 757 listeners (throughout all of 2008), Ms. Shepard was basing her impressions of her audience upon a rather tiny fraction of (like minded) totalitarian extremists among that audience.
In fact, since I became Ombudsman in October 2007, no other NPR employee has generated as much controversy as Williams.”
There is no evidence that any significant portion of the Fox News audience had any problems with Juan’s dual role at NPR. Yesterday, trying to rationalize the firing of Juan Williams, Shepard said (emphasis mine):
“Many have been troubled over the years by the dual role that Williams has played: balanced news analyst on NPR; more opinionated pundit on Fox.”In February of 2009, Shepard said (emphasis mine):
“Last spring, NPR's management put him [Juan Williams] on contract with the title ‘news analyst’ largely to give him more latitude about what he says. He's now paid to give his opinion”Okay, Ms. Shepard, which was the real role of Juan Williams at NPR? Or, do you just make it up as you go according to the purely political needs of the moment?

Liberals do the psychological equivalent of this to any black person who dares to leave the plantation of liberal orthodoxy. After working over a decade for liberal National Public Radio, Juan Williams was summarily fired, publically ridiculed and told to see a psychiatrist. Liberals have a proprietary attitude toward blacks and other minorities. When anyone one of us dares contradict leftist thought, they try to punish us severely….
I have been saying and writing for years that elitist liberals do not like black people or other minorities. They only like the ‘good’ ones whom they control. They like the ones who bow to the god of liberalism. Any black person or other minority can test this thesis by expressing a pro-life view, opposition to same sex relationships or doubts about global warming. They will find the liberal welcome mat unceremoniously yanked just as Juan Williams did. How ironic that the people who are always demanding tolerance have none. Maybe they are the ones who really need to see a psychiatrist.
I don't agree with Juan Williams about much, but I am glad that conservative Roger Ailes gave the liberal Juan Williams a new contract with FOX where freedom of thought is honored. NPR and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting may no longer receive public funding as a result of this debacle. They will still be free to run an intellectual plantation, but not at taxpayer expense. Somebody needs to tell liberals that slavery ended a long time ago.”

According to Juan Williams,
he “was the only black male on the air” at NPR.
Now, the Leftists at NPR have NO black males on the air.
Coincidence? You decide.

DeMint - Time to End Taxpayer Funding of NPR, PBS
“Today, U.S. Senator Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), a member of the Senate Commerce Committee which oversees the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), announced he will introduce legislation to stop taxpayer subsidies of public radio and television. CPB-funded television and radio programs are distributed through National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).
‘Once again we find the only free speech liberals support is the speech with which they agree. The incident with Mr. Williams shows that NPR is not concerned about providing the listening public with an honest debate of today’s issues, but rather with promoting a one-sided liberal agenda,’ said Senator DeMint.
‘Since 2001, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funds programming for National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service, has received nearly $4 billion in taxpayer money,’ said DeMint.”

CPB gets ALL their funding from our taxes.
Defunding all of this is long, long, LONG overdue!
But, a Dim controlled Congress would never pass this.
So, there we have one more reason to vote the Dims out!

NPR Ombudsman on Juan Williams catastrophe
“NPR Ombudsman promises commentary to come.
Given the nature of her past commentary, this should be ‘interesting’.”
A tiny fraction of her commentary sheds light on the fact that NPR is getting hammered just as hard and just as uniformly by Leftists and NPR loyalists as anybody else:
“Thursday was a day like none I’ve experienced since coming to NPR in October 2007. Office phone lines rang non-stop like an alarm bell with no off button. We’ve received more than 8,000 emails, a record with nothing a close second….The rest of Alicia’s typically excessively verbose nonsense was the usual, predictable, far left propagandistic claptrap which NPR and their Ombudsman are both famous for. When Leftists are cornered -- especially when cornered by virtue of their own insanity -- they always resort to the logical fallacy of the tired old moral equivalence pseudo-argument. In this case, Ms. Shepard wondered out loud:
At noon, the deluge of email crashed NPR’s ‘Contact Us’ form on the web site.
The overwhelming majority are angry, furious, outraged. They want NPR to hire him back immediately. If NPR doesn't, they want all public funding of public radio to stop. They promise to never donate again. They are as mad as hell, and want everyone to know it. It was daunting to answer the phone and hear so much unrestrained anger.”
“I can only imagine how Williams, who has chronicled and championed the Civil Rights movement, would have reacted if another prominent journalist had said:Gee, Alicia, I don’t know. But, if African American males -- using airplanes as guided missles -- ever perpetrate anything even remotely as murderously evil as 9/11, I’ll get back to you on that -- ya’ blind as a bat blond headed BIMBO!
‘But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see an African American male in Dashiki with a big Afro, I get worried. I get nervous.’ ”

JUAN WILLIAMS - I Was Fired for Telling the Truth
“Yesterday NPR fired me for telling the truth…
To say the least this is a chilling assault on free speech….
my comments on ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ are being distorted by the self-righteous ideological, left-wing leadership at NPR…
They loathe the fact that I appear on Fox News…
This is an outrageous violation of journalistic standards and ethics by management that has no use for a diversity of opinion, ideas or a diversity of staff (I was the only black male on the air). This is evidence of one-party rule and one sided thinking at NPR that leads to enforced ideology, speech and writing. It leads to people, especially journalists, being sent to the gulag for raising the wrong questions and displaying independence of thought.
Daniel Schorr, my fellow NPR commentator who died earlier this year, used to talk about the initial shock of finding himself on President Nixon’s enemies list. I can only imagine Dan’s revulsion to realize that today NPR treats a journalist who has worked for them for ten years with less regard, less respect for the value of independence of thought and embrace of real debate across political lines, than Nixon ever displayed.”
FNC is fair and balanced and NPR is not.

Wean NPR From the Government Teat
NPR Contact Page is overloaded
NPR Ombudsman promises commentary to come.
Given the nature of her past commentary, this should be “interesting”.
Quoting Fox News:
“National Public Radio fired Fox News contributor Juan Williams on Wednesday after a Monday night appearance on Fox News' ‘The O'Reilly Factor’ in which Williams said that it makes him nervous to fly on airplanes with devoutly-clad Muslims.”

Click here for Juan’s comments on his firing.
It is way beyond high time that NPR was weaned from their government teat! No media outlet should ever receive government funding, least of all a media outlet as brazenly propagandistic as NPR (or PBS, or CPB).
Williams is one of the most reliably Leftist voices on Fox News. But, for NPR, the simple fact that Williams appears on Fox News brands him as a traitor to their lunatic cause. I believe that -- simply because Juan was also employed at FNC -- NPR has long been looking for an excuse to get rid of Williams. NPR found that excuse in the poisoned well of Political Correctness run amuck.

Even Time Magazine Knows Obama is a Disaster
Time being Time, much of this article is patently absurd.
But, they did get the following right:
“With the exception of core Obama Administration loyalists, most politically engaged elites have reached the same conclusions: the White House is in over its head, isolated, insular, arrogant and clueless about how to get along with or persuade members of Congress, the media, the business community or working-class voters…
Moreover, there is a growing perception that Obama's decisions are causing harm — that businesses are being hurt by the Administration's legislation and that economic recovery is stalling because of the uncertainty surrounding energy policy, health care, deficits, housing, immigration and spending.”

ABC News Employee Caught Red Handed
An audio operator employed by ABC News was caught red handed trying to make the news rather than report it.
In response, ABC has “reprimanded” the reprobate.
Reprimanded? Does that mean we can expect ABC to send this fella out to represent them again?
Yeah, I suppose so. Just like the apparent pothead ABC sent to cover Obama, I guess the reprimanded reprobate covering the Ground Zero mosque fits right in at ABC (and the rest of the lamestream media).

Russian Wildfires & Global Warming Propaganda
“ ‘If you ask me as a person, do I think the Russian heat wave has to do with climate change, the answer is yes,’ said Gavin Schmidt, a climate researcher with NASA in New York. ‘If you ask me as a scientist whether I have proved it, the answer is no — at least not yet.’ ”For the uninitiated, Gavin Schmidt (of RealClimate.org) is arguably the single most overt propagandist in the religious cult of Man Made Catastrophic Global Warming Hysteria.
Yet, even Gavin admits there is no science which links the Russian wildfires to climate change of any variety, much less man made climate change.
But, where so-called “journalists” [and certain unscrupulous “scientists”] are concerned, science and evidence be damned! It’s full speed ahead with the hysteria mongering purely political propaganda!
Dr. Roger Pielke Jr. -- professor of environmental studies -- has devoted much of his career to examining the link (or lack thereof) between climate change and the consequences of weather disasters. Dr. Pielke notes (I inserted the link):
“This [Gavin’s absurd NYT comment] neatly sums up the first of two reasons why I think that the current debate over whether greenhouse gas emissions caused/exacerbated/influenced recent disasters around the world is a fruitless debate. It is not a debate that can be resolved empirically, but rather depends upon hunches, speculation and beliefs…For the record…
there should be no ambiguity in the fact that researchers who have looked for a signal of increasing GHGs [Green House Gases] in increasing disaster losses (whether measured in dollars or in lives) have yet to see such a signal. It would be scientifically incorrect to claim that GHGs have been shown to account for any portion of the damage or suffering resulting from recent events.”
Despite his empirical realism with respect to the fact that there is no quantifiable link between climate change and weather induced disasters, Dr. Pielke advocates for government intervention to reduce CO2 emissions. But, Dr. Pielke has, to date, failed to honor the promise he made to me on 7/31/09 to explain in his blog why he believes this is a good idea. Perhaps this is because he does not “think it fruitful to wage a political battle by challenging ‘deniers’ on matters of science”. Personally, I think Dr. Pielke knows he is promoting an indefensible agenda. I think Dr. Pielke knows that he cannot prevail in any open and honest debate. But, no AGW alarmist can. That is why -- to a person -- they almost always avoid any such open debate.

Let's Play 'Spot The Democrat'
“In the greatest party-affiliation cover-up since the media tried to portray Gary Condit as a Republican, the media are refusing to mention the party affiliation of the thieving government officials in Bell, Calif.
There have been hundreds of news stories about Bell city officials' jaw-dropping salaries. In this poor city on the outskirts of Los Angeles, where the per capita annual income is $24,800 a year, the city manager, Robert Rizzo, had a salary of $787,637.
That's about twice what the president of the United States makes. (To be fair, Rizzo was doing a better job.)
Rizzo was the highest-paid government employee in the entire country, not counting Maxine Waters' husband -- pending further revelations. With benefits, his total annual compensation, according to the Los Angeles Times, came to $1.5 million a year…
According to Nexis, there have been more than 300 news stories reporting on the Bell scandal. Guess how many mentioned the party affiliation of the corrupt government bureaucrats?
One. Yes, just one. Now guess if the government officials were Democrats or Republicans? Yes, that is correct. Congratulations -- you've qualified for our bonus round!
The one newspaper to cough up party affiliations, The Orange County Register, admitted that the corrupt officials were all Democrats only in response to reader complaints about the peculiar omission….
Unlike political corruption involving sex or bribery, the outrage in Bell isn't a scandal that hits both parties from time to time -- it's how the Democrats govern.
Elected Democratic officials bestow ludicrous salaries and benefits packages on government employees, and, in return, public employee unions make sure the Democrats keep getting re-elected.
The scandal in Bell isn't a scandal at all for the Democrats. Au contraire! This is the governing strategy of the Democratic Party.”

NYT Portrays Accused Traitor as Victim
Predictably (and in keeping with the doctrine of Cultural Marxism), the NYT has portrayed suspected traitor Pfc Bradley Manning as a long suffering victim of homophobia whose mommy and daddy (and everybody else) did him wrong.
Yawn…
We knew it was coming.
Hey! NYT! The ONLY story about Manning that interests me is his trail, the verdict and the punishment. If Manning is found guilty, the only acceptable punishment is death. And then, that’s the last thing I EVER want to hear about Pfc Manning.

WikiLeaks Says It Will Publish More Secrets
“WikiLeaks, the whistleblower website that posted thousands of secret Afghanistan war documents, says it intends to keep publishing secret government files from all over the world even though the United States has demanded that it stop, as least insofar as the war is concerned.”

It would not bother me one bit if the military dropped hellfire missiles on every scumbag who has anything to do with Wikileaks. As far as I am concerned, every one of them is an enemy combatant aiding and abetting our enemy.

The Market Value of Leftist Propaganda is $1
Various sources confirm that we now know the market value of Leftist propaganda (Newsweek style) -- $1.
$1 was the sum total of what Sidney Harman paid to purchase Newsweek magazine.

In truth, $1 is a price artificially inflated by the totalitarian zeal of a one foot in the grave Limo-Liberal “Progressive” buyer who “served” in the Jimmy Carter administration.

Is The Slobbering Love Affair Over?
Is the slobbering love affair over?
Quoting NewsBusters:
“Is President Obama incapable of dealing with journalists who question his policies? The White House press corps is becoming increasingly agitated with an administration that reacts particularly strongly to criticism, and even skepticism.”

No, the slobbering love affair is not yet over -- not by a long shot. But -- at least for a few -- that tingle running up their leg might be fading just a tad.
I wonder how many so-called “journalists” are beginning to wish they had not put a Hugo Chavez wannabe in the White House.

NPR Ombudsman Alicia C. Shepard is Hideously Dishonest

“NPR does not receive direct funding from the federal government. Less than 2 percent of its annual budget comes from competitive grants from federally funded institutions.”

Click here to expose the NPR funding deception.
NPR’s Alicia C. Shepard further suggests that NPR showed political balance “On Dec. 31, [when] Fiore took after Obama on npr.org.” Is Ms. Shepard SO ideologically blinkered that she TRULY BELIEVES political balance is achieved by:
1) Mocking Obama for -- in the eyes of Fiore -- not being enough of a leftwing extremist.
2) Simultaneously mocking “Rightwing Ralphie”.
Sadly, at NPR (and CPB) this IS what they regard as “balance”.
I might suggest that NPR find a new (and less ethically challenged) Ombudsman. But, I am certain the next one would be no better than this one. What I REALLY want is for the utterly dishonest and pathetically propagandistic NPR to STOP ROBBING ME AT GUNPOINT!

Mark Fiore, NPR's Third Rate Propagandist
If anybody wonders why I object to being required -- through force of law -- to fund NPR, look no further than NPR’s third rate propagandist -- Mark Fiore. It’s unclear whether Fiore is paid by NPR. I’m betting he is. What is certain (at a minimum) is that I am required -- through force of law -- to fund the hosting of Fiore’s garbage and pay the salary of whatever NPR nitwit creates the associated NPR web pages.
