Climate Alarmist - 'The Climate's Changing Faster'

I occasionally check in on the musings of a British climate alarmist working in Rothera, Antarctica. Recently, she said (as she always does) that:

“The climate’s changing faster here than just about anywhere on the planet.”

Gee, Tamsin, one little hyperlink to substantiating data might have been nice. Got anything?

Tamsin talks about “taking daily temperature readings.” But, among the Rothera data publicly published by her employers, temperature data are nowhere to be found (wonder why?).

Oh, and…
Before mere mortals can actually SEE the data they DO make available, one must first be approved and, among other things, provide the data overlords “some information about the intended use of the data.” Sounds to me like they REALLY want to keep their data out of the hands of anybody who might not tow the purely political party line (thereby threatening the government funding gravy train).

We do, however, have data from Vostok, Antarctica. The only recent climate change I’ve seen at that location has been a COOLING TREND!

The 2010 annual mean temperature in Vostok was -55.8C. That is 0.2C COOLER than the 2008 line (in green) on the following chart. A line depicting 2010 annual mean temperature would be located at -0.3 on the chart (the reference point being at -55.5C).

Best Solution to the Debt Crisis

Actually, the best solution to the debt crisis would be to immediately and completely eliminate Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid (along with anything else that so much as smells like government “charity”). That would immediately create a surplus for this year and every year to come and would cut the scope and scale of the federal government by at least 60%. The stock market would soar, the economy would take off like a rocket, unemployment would be a thing of the past, the most generous people in the history of humanity (Americans) would take care of those truly in need FAR better than a pack of worthless and utterly corrupt federal bureaucrats. We would ALL be MUCH better off (immediately AND in the long term).

Well, okay…
The mafia would suffer. But, that’s a good thing. Yes, and, a large cadre of grossly over-paid, counter-productive bureaucrats in Washington D.C. would suffer (until such time as they found something MUCH more productive to do with their lives). But, that too is a good thing.

Alternatively, John Stossel has his own detailed and quantified plan whereby an immediate surplus could be easily achieved. The best idea would be to combine his plan with mine.

For those who labor under the Democrat created delusion that eliminating Medicare would leave granny starving in the streets without any health care -- click here and get a dose of reality.

For those who labor under the Democrat created fantasy that they are not to blame for the MASSIVELY accelerated increase in our national debt, click here and get a dose of reality.

Finally, if you want the gay marriage issue to go away, simply eliminate the discriminatory financial advantages currently provided to married couples. Holy Grail of Climate Change - Advantage, Skeptics

Quoting a previous post directly related to today’s post:

“Every climate scientist will freely admit that CO2 alone would NEVER have enough warming effect to whip up any concerns AT ALL! The linchpin of Catastrophic Man Made Global Warming hysteria has always been the question of how water vapor responds to the tiny amount of warming caused by CO2. Every IPCC computer model blindly assumes a positive water vapor feedback mechanism which creates catastrophic warming (even though CO2 levels 22 times higher than today failed to create any such ‘tipping point’ of runaway global warming).”

That post went on to cite peer reviewed science demonstrating that the alarmist assumptions regarding the holy grail of climate change (the water vapor response) were not merely wrong but entirely upside down.

As expected, the alarmists fought back and attempted to discredit the evidence.

Well, we now have MORE peer-reviewed science which discredits the alarmist attempt to discredit the original science. With this, it is tempting to declare (as others previously have) game, set, match. But, it may be more appropriate to declare this “advantage, skeptics” (BIG TIME). The mythology of this Holy Grail of climate science may not yet have been completely shattered (especially in the eyes of the “true believers”). But, it is teetering badly and very, very close to completely falling in the eyes of all but the very most rabid, corrupt, purely political, money grubbing fanatics.

“NASA satellite data from the years 2000 through 2011 show the Earth’s atmosphere is allowing far more heat to be released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted, reports a new study in the peer-reviewed science journal Remote Sensing. The study indicates far less future global warming will occur than United Nations computer models have predicted, and supports prior studies indicating increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide trap far less heat than alarmists have claimed.”

Time - Fight Climate Change via a Different Set of Lies

Bryan Walsh, writing for the ever laughable Time Magazine, proposes a different set of lies through which to fight Climate Change. What follows are quotes from his propaganda followed by the substantiated evidence refuting the false assertions:

1) “Climate change advocates haven't had much to celebrate recently”

A) Who are these “advocates” FOR climate change? Send this clown back to grade school!

B) The climate hysteria mongers must be at least marginally happy that the tyrants purporting to govern Australia are imposing a Carbon Tax (after getting elected on a pledge NOT to do so).

C) The climate tyrants must be absolutely ecstatic over the abject tyranny imposed by the unelected and unaccountable EPA bureaucrats. Click here for more on EPA tyranny.

2) “He [Michael Bloomberg] saw coal pollution first and foremost as a public health issue, one that is directly hurting Americans through higher rates of asthma and heart disease.”

The EPA reports that coal related pollutants are all below national standards and are all dropping like a rock. So, are these two clowns suggesting that FEWER pollutants are causing MORE health problems? Yeah, that’s a typical argument from eco-nuts.

3) “Over the past several years… the scientific case on manmade climate change has gotten stronger”

REALLY? What alternative universe do you live in?

A) NYC (the author’s home) may be experiencing a hot summer. But, NOAA reports that about half of the nation is experiencing a cooler than average summer.

AP Misreports the 'Boiling Point'

Quoting The Associated Press:

“The extreme heat that's been roasting the eastern U.S. is only expected to get worse, and residents are bracing themselves for temperatures near and above boiling point.”
